Truck driver bashed up

Tension prevailed for sometime at Electronic city toll gate when a group of 11 members bashed up a truck driver and his assistant black and blue for transporting 14 buffaloes to Denkanikote in Tamil Nadu from the outskirts of the city in the early hours of Wednesday.

The truck driver Sadiq Pasha and his assistant, Munna (28) who sustained severe injuries have been admitted to a private hospital.

Sadiq pasha who later filed a complaint with the Parappana Agrahara police said that the truck was intercepted by two Sports Utility Vehicles and a group of 11 men dragged the duo and beat up.

The accused soon fled the scene before the passers-by come to the rescue.

The Parappana Agrahara police who have taken down the registration number of the vehicles are looking out for the attackers. The police have also seized the truck and the buffalo to investigate further.
