Vishwa Hindu Parishad leader Praveen Togadia, who has been banned entry into Bengaluru, left for Hosur in neighbouring Tamil Nadu after arriving at Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) on Saturday.

Additional Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) Alok Kumar said, “Togadia had sought transit permit to allow him to land in the airport so that he can proceed to Hosur. We have allowed him to land and escorted him out of the city.”

Togadia will attend a meeting in Hosur in the evening.

Earlier in the day, City Police Commissioner M.N. Reddi said the police would prevent Mr. Togadia from speaking at the Virat Hindu Samavesh to be held on Sunday.

While the organizers are planning to counter the decision by organisinga video conference to air his speech at the Virat Hindu Sammelana, the city police warned that Togadia would be booked if found violating the High Court order.
