As many as 734 trainees passed out as Air Force Technical Tradesmen of the Indian Air Force and a passing out parade was held at the Air Force Station, Jalahalli, here on Friday.

The parade was reviewed by Air Vice Marshal Pankaj Aneja, Assistant Chief of Air Staff (Maintenance Plans) Air Headquarters, New Delhi. The officer gave away the trophies to the Best in Trade to Leading Aircraftmen Khade Praveen Namdev, Chotu Singh, Monu Chahal, Manish Kumar Pandey and Rahul Kumar for Electronics Fitter, Electrical Fitter, Communication Technician, Operations Assistant and Logistics Assistant Trades respectively.

A communiqué said Aircraftman Aditya Kumar Sahoo, Operations Assistant, was adjudged Best in General Service Training while Leading Aircraftman Manish Kumar Pandey secured the Best All Rounder Trophy.

The parade was witnessed by a large number of dignitaries from various operational units, commands and Air Headquarters. A large number of parents attended the ceremony. In another event, 156 recruits passed out at an Attestation Parade from the Parachute Regiment Training Centre, here on Friday. They completed 34 weeks military training and the parade was reviewed by Lieutenant General R.S. Pradhan, General Officer Commanding, Madhya Bharat Area.

The parade was commanded by Recruit Nathulal Gujar from Mundoti, Rajasthan. Among the award winners were Recruit Kamal Oraon who won the Gill Medal for overall Best Recruit and the Endurance Medal went to Recruit Ajeet Singh.

The Cheema Medal for best Recruit in Physical Training was bagged by D. Machul Kom while Chettri Medal for Best Recruit in drill was awarded to Recruit Nathu Lal Gujar, who also commanded the parade.
