Souvik Pal's father Santanu Pal arrived with his 19-year-old son's body at their residence in Hebbal around noon on Thursday after they landed at the Bangalore International Airport shortly after 8 am.

Souvik Pal, a student of Manchester Metropolitan University, was found dead in a canal Old Trafford in Manchester on January 22, about three weeks after he mysteriously went missing from a night club on New Year's eve.

The family members including Souvik's mother Mahuya Pal and his grandparents broke down after they saw his body when it brought to the apartment.

Half hour after the body arrived at the apartment, it was taken away to the crematorium for the last rites.
