Staff members of the Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation on Wednesday held a snap protest at the Majestic bus stand demanding security from the police against muggers.

The drivers and conductors said that they are soft targets for the muggers frequently and even passengers had to bear the brunt. Evident to this, the staff members caught three men trying to rob some BMTC staff and handed them over to Upparpet police.

The protest was called off after senior police officers rushed to the spot and promised to provide adequate security.
