Siddaiah, who was earlier transferred from the Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP), is back as its Commissioner. Rajneesh Goel, BBMP Commissioner, who was on medical leave for the past 15 days, has been transferred as Principal Secretary of the Department of Higher Education.
Mr. Siddaiah was posted as BBMP in-charge Commissioner on December 17 when Mr. Goel went on leave. On Monday, the government issued orders posting Mr. Siddaiah as BBMP Commissioner and Mr. Goel as Principal Secretary, Higher Education.
With this posting, Mr. Siddaiah joins former Commissioners K. Jairaj, A. Ravindra and K.P. Pandey who all had two stints in the civic body. Mr. Siddaiah was Commissioner from July 1, 2010 to November 28, 2011, while he was in-charge Commissioner from December 17 to 31, 2012.
