Searches conducted in Kolar, Tumakuru

A special team on Monday conducted searches in lodges and other places in parts of Kolar district following the blast in Bengaluru on Sunday.

The team comprising five City Crime Branch personnel visited Kolar, Bangarpet, Mulbagal and other places, police sources told The Hindu .

Such an exercise was necessary in the interest of the safety of the people, the sources added.

Police personnel of the Central Crime Branch of Bengaluru visited Tumakuru city on Monday. The sources in the Police Department said that a team of five CCB police personnel visited lodges, religious institutions, slums and residential areas. They collected information and returned to Bengaluru on Monday evening.
