Vidya Niketan School had declared a holiday for its primary class students. Though the Army Public School and Prasidhi School reported attendance as usual, it was not so in institutions such as the University Law College and Christ University.
Carolyn Theresa, a Christ University student, said: “Many did not turn up today (Friday). Some of my friends said they had trouble coming to college as auto drivers were charging three times the normal fare.”
