Ragini Dwivedi will take part in the inauguration of the International Film Festival of India in Goa.

Multi-lingual actor Ragini Dwivedi will share the stage with Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan during the inauguration of the International Film Festival of India in Goa on Thursday.

Ragini, who took part in the International Film Festival in Sydney recently, is thrilled about the offer. “It is an honour to share the stage with stalwarts of Indian cinema,” she told The Hindu . “I got the invitation four days ago and confirmed my participation immediately as it is an opportunity to represent Sandalwood on an international stage. It will be a memorable day in my life,” said Ragini, who has acted in over 15 Kannada films, besides Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi.

She has shared screen space with Amitabh in the Malayalam movie Kandahar . Ragini was elated with the reception she got at the Sydney festival. “Kannadigas in Australia are not able to watch Kannada movies, as they are not released in theatres there. I have decided to take up the issue with the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce to envisage a plan to release Kannada movies there,” she said.
