Merrily we roll along

Like most other kiosk-sized joints dispensing rolls, the best thing about the fare at Roll Me on Yelahanka New Town Main Road is its freshness: you hear the sizzle of the flaky roll hitting the pan while you wait for your order.

Visitors can pick from an array of fairly standard options, in vegetable, chicken and egg varieties. There are also fried snacks on offer, such as fries and wedges.

The mixed vegetable and mushroom options are spicy, dressed with a spoonful of suspiciously bright red sauce. In comparison, the egg roll strikes the palate as soothingly benign: it is a perfectly-cooked, fluffy egg layered on the roll, with plenty of raw onions lending some crunch.
