Two injured in tiff at tea stall

A dispute at a road side tea shop aggravated into a brawl that left two people injured, near Harishinakunte toll gate on Sunday night.

Rajesh and Devaraj, friends and residents of Peenya, were having tea at the stall late at night. Two others – Umesh and Sridhar P. – arrived at the stall.

According to the police, Devaraj asked the duo where they hail from before passing a snide comment that sparked the fight. Umesh and Sridhar allegedly attacked Rajesh and Devaraj with lethal weapons.

The tea seller alerted the police. A team on night patrol arrested Umesh and Sridhar. Rajesh and Devaraj were taken to K.C. General Hospital. They are on the road to recovery.
