Malaysia Airlines flight returns following snag

A Malaysia Airlines flight (MH 193) to Kuala Lumpur from Bangalore returned to the city one-and-a-half hours after take off on Sunday.

According to a press release, the flight that left here at 1.18 a.m. returned to Bangalore due to a technical snag. The captain of the flight ensured all safety precautions were taken before landing again at the international airport.

The release added that staff of Malaysia Airlines at the airport ensured that necessary assistance was provided to the passengers, including accommodation and meals while rectification work was carried out on the aircraft.

Hamzah Ayob, Malaysia Airlines' General Manager, Karnataka, said in the release, “On detecting a technical fault, the captain ensured all safety precautions while bringing the aircraft back to Bangalore.”
