The wetlands between Kasavanahalli and Kaikondrahalli lakes have been flooded again following heavy rains on Wednesday night.

While there was knee-deep water during the night, some of the property owners in the area deployed motors to pump out water all day on Thursday. However, even by Thursday evening, there was ankle deep water in these wetlands.

This has only raised fears of property owners around the wetlands that their properties would soon be flooded with more rains. Ashutosh Sharma, a resident of the area, said that unless the government intervenes and takes action, the properties around the area and the two lakes were doomed.

Meanwhile, it is learnt that the city mayor B.N. Manjunath Reddy is expected to visit the place on Saturday morning.
