The wetland between Kasavanahalli and Kaikondrahalli lakes has been flooded again following heavy rain on Wednesday.

While there was knee-deep water during the night, some of the property owners in the area deployed motors to pump out water all day on Thursday. However, even by Thursday evening, there was ankle-deep water in the wetland.

This has only raised fears among property owners around the wetland that their properties would soon be flooded with more rain expected. Ashutosh Sharma, a resident of the area, said that unless the government intervenes and takes an appropriate action, the properties around the area and the two lakes would be doomed.

Meanwhile, it is learnt that Mayor B.N. Manjunath Reddy is expected to visit the area on Saturday morning.
