An HR executive in an IT company has been arrested and sent in judicial custody on theft charge.

According to the Hennur police, Elizabeth Mary (22), resident of Govindapura, stole gold ornaments from the house of her friend Pooja Sharma at BDS Garden in Hennur. They have recovered from her 210 grams of gold valuables worth Rs. 4.5 lakh. Pooja had lodged a complaint with the police that her gold ornaments have gone missing in the past six months. In her complaint, she mentioned her domestic help as the suspect. Investigations revealed that it could be someone else. So, they laid a trap. When Elizabeth came home one day, Pooja kept gold finger rings on the table. When Elizabeth was leaving, the rings had gone missing. Immediately Pooja alerted the police, who came and found that Elizabeth had hidden the rings in her inner wear.

The police said that Elizabeth had sold the valuables she had stolen earlier at a shop in Commercial Street and bought high-end electronic gadgets.
