HC dismisses seer’s plea against medical test

The Karnataka High Court on Wednesday upheld the notice issued by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) asking Ramachandrapura math seer, Raghaveshwara Bharati to appear for medical test in connection with alleged sexual harassment and rape case against him.

Justice A.N. Venugopala Gowda passed the order while dismissing the petition filed by the seer questioning the CID notice.

The court has held that the notice neither violates law nor was issued without any reason.
