Goons chase away Revenue officials on inspection of encroached land

Tension prevailed for a while at Ittamadu area in South Bangalore when officials of Bangalore District Administration, who went to survey the encroached land, were chased away by the local goons on Friday.

Assistant Commissioner of Police (South), L.C. Nagaraj said that around 10.23 guntas of Government land has been encroached by two local goons who forged the records to create documents and sold it to people.

The Department on Friday went to survey the land before initiating eviction process when a realtor, C.M. Lakshman led a gang of 50 people and surrounded the officials before chasing them away.

The officials reported the matter to Mr. Nagaraj, who in turn alerted the police to provide security to these official. “The department would book a case against Lakshman and others”, Mr. Nagraj said.
