Even the Congress appears to be feeling the heat of the campaign by some organisations against the trend of fielding “outsiders” for the Rajya Sabha elections from Karnataka, as Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Wednesday told reporters that he would convey people’s messages to the party high command.

“I will be going to Delhi on Thursday and will convey such feelings to our party high command,” he said.

Speculation has been rife that senior Congress leader P. Chidambaram is likely to be one of the candidates to be fielded from Karnataka for the elections.
