Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) P. Ravindranath, who is alleged to have taken photographs of a girl in a coffee shop on Cunningham Road on May 26, on Thursday was grilled by thesleuths of Criminal Investigation Department (CID) for more than four hours.

Dr. Ravindranath told presspersons later that he gave the investigating team his version of the events and answered all questions of the CID sleuths.

Dr. Ravindranath had been demanding that the CID should record his statement in the case and had even threatened to approach the Karnataka High Court over the delay in recording his statement. He had claimed that city police and CID were dodging recording his statement and this was detrimental to his interest in the case.

City Police Commissioner Raghavendra H. Auradkar also presented himself before the CID on Thursday and recorded his statement in the atrocity case filed against him by Dr Ravindranath. Sources say he was questioned about the allegations made by Dr. Ravindranath against him.
