Cab aggregators have their hands full

December 31, 2014 01:12 pm | Updated 01:12 pm IST - Bengaluru:

Cab aggregators in the city have their hands full with people booking their vehicles for New Year’s Eve much in advance. There is great demand for cabs during the year-end as many do not want to be at the wheel while going to and returning from New Year parties, cab aggregators say.

Despite the fracas among cab aggregators, drivers and the government last month, business for cab aggregators is going on as usual.

Executive Director of Carzonrent Sakshi Vij says they get double the number of calls on New Year’s Eve than on a normal day.

A source at Ola office says the cabs will operate on New Year’s Eve like they do on any other day. Meanwhile, drivers attached to Ola were seen getting their GPS devices reset on Tuesday. Following a server problem, they were unable to stay connected with the office. One driver said: “I have to come here to get the GPS re-fixed, otherwise I will not get customers”.
