Former Minister Bandaru Satyanaryana Murthy may bide his time before taking any decision on the denial of a berth in the Cabinet reshuffle.
He is reportedly under pressure from his supporters to resign. Some supporters have dumped their party membership cards at his house in anger as soon as they came to know about his non-inclusion.
Though a few hundreds of them were ready to protest by organising a “rasta rook” at Pendurti on Monday, he prevailed over them not to cause inconvenience to people, it was learnt.
Mr. Ayyanna Patrudu and Mr. Satyanarayana Murthy belong to the same caste and the latter believes that he is getting a raw deal because of that. But three years after winning the 2014 election and working hard for the party for 10 years in the Opposition Mr. Murthy wants his services to be recognised, source close to him said.
When contacted, the former Minister said he had worked hard for the party right from its inception and was in the fore front in strengthening the party when others had resigned. “But right now I am preoccupied with arrangements for my daughter’s marriage,” he said.
