The Centre is waiting for the Government of Andhra Pradesh to finalise the location and create the infrastructure for a new High Court, Minister of Law and Justice D.V. Sadananda Gowda told Anakapalle MP Muthamsetti Srinivasa Rao in a reply to an unstarred question.

In the written reply, the Union Minister said that it was the responsibility of the Government of Andhra Pradesh to finalise the location of the new High Court and create all required infrastructure in consultation with the High Court of Judicature in Hyderabad. Once the State Government along with the High Court take a decision on all relevant aspects and make available the infrastructure the Centre would take steps to issue necessary notification under relevant provisions of the law. The Centre has already addressed the Chief Justice of the High Court and the Government of Andhra Pradesh in the matter, the Minister said and added that there was a PIL on the subject in the High Court of Hyderabad.
