The computerisation of the ‘Logistics wing’ of APS RTC is drawing more number of people to utilise the ‘parcel services’ of RTC. The parcel revenue from NEC Region was ₹150 lakh, Visakhapatnam region – ₹ 317 lakh and from East Godavari Region – ₹524 lakh during the present financial year, according to the Deputy Chief Traffic Manager (M & C), Vizianagaram Zone, G. Satyanarayana.
Parcel service users are now able to monitor the status of their parcels online and officials are able to monitor the problems being faced by customers and to prevent their recurrence. Special officers have been appointed in the three regions and they have been given the mobile numbers as follows: NEC – 7331147260, Visakhapatnam Region – 7331147261 and East Godavari – 7331147262.
Complaint cell
Zonal Manager S.A. Ansari said the parcel clearance week was being observed from Friday. A central complaint cell has been opened and parcel service users can call on the mobile numbers 9121019061/62/63.
