In order to identify the learning needs of students at the undergraduate level and introduce online courses, a one-day Needs Analysis programme was conducted by Azania Thomas, training consultant of British Council, Mumbai, at Dr. V.S. Krishna Government Degree and PG College on Wednesday. The programme was aimed at strengthening the communicative competence of the students in English and gear them up to suit the requirements of the market. As part of the programme, the students were first picked randomly from different groups and courses to form heterogeneous batches, following which an interactive session with the training was held. Later, an interaction with the senior members of faculty was held. The programme covered several issues related to the challenges in classroom teaching and learning.
