Navy official reviews ‘Kalyani’ progress

Two flag officers from the Integrated Defence Headquarters, MoD (Navy) — Director General Medical Services Surgeon Vice Admiral Tapan Sinha and Chief of Material Vice Admiral A. V. Subhedar — arrived on a visit to ENC. Surgeon Vice Admiral Tapan Sinha on arrival called on Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief Vice Admiral H.C.S. Bisht and Chief of Staff Vice Admiral Atul Jain.

Vice Admiral Sinha visited the naval hospital INHS Kalyani and held discussions on the progress of Project Kalyani. This project deals with the upgrading INHS Kalyani to a Command Hospital. Later, he addressed medical officers and medical staff.

Commissioned in the Army Medical Corps on February 27, 1977, Vice Admiral Sinha has served in various Armed Forces Hospitals and Medical institutes. He is scheduled to retire from the Navy on May 31.

Vice Admiral A.V. Subhedar called on Vice Admiral Bisht.

He visited HSL and NSTL and held discussions with all stake-holders.

He is scheduled to depart Visakhapatnam on May 20.
