Nadda announces CGHS for city

Union Health Minister J P Nadda has announced the setting up of Central Government Health Facility (CGHS) in Visakhapatnam.

He said the proposal for CGHS facility was made by Visakhapatnam Lok Sabha member and the Central Government sanctioned it fulfilling a long-pending demand. Very soon it would start functioning. The CGHS facility would benefit 20,000 retired Central Government employees. Several Central Government pensioners’ associations felicitated him at Mr. Haribabu’s office on Sunday evening after the formal announcement. A.P. Health Minister Kamineni Srinivas, Endowments Minister P. Manikyala Rao, MLA P. Vishnu Kumar Raju, BJP City president P. V. Narayana Rao, All-India Central Government Pensioners’ Association Jupalli Janardhana Rao, All Central Pensioners’ Association general secretary C. Srikrishnadevarayalu, convener of Confederation of Central Government Employees and Workers S. Das participated. Earlier, president GITAM University and former MP MVVS Murthy along with former Union minister K Sambasiva Rao called on Mr. Nadda and apprised him on the health issues of the district.
