Music and dance festival to be held from August 8

The Visakha Music and Dance Academy is presenting a week-long festival of music, dance, and drama at Kalabharathi Auditorium commencing August 8. As part of the 14{+t}{+h}annual festival, ‘Nada Vidya Bharati’ award will be conferred on Sangeeta Kalanidhi R. Vedavalli from Chennai.

Central Information Commissioner Madabhushi Sridhar would be participating as chief guest.

Ms. Vedavalli will be presenting a vocal concert at the venue.

Classical singers and dancers, including Bombay Jayshree, Dwaram Durga Prasad Rao, Tadepalle Lokanadha Sarma, and Rajeswari Sainath, will be performing at the festival.

A verse drama ‘Desamunu Preminchmanna’ will also be presented.
