Bharatiya Janata Party has demanded that the Central and State governments initiate legal proceedings against Rajya Sabha member T. Subbarami Reddy and Union Minister of State for Commerce and Industry D. Purandeswari taking cognizance of the charges being traded by the two leaders.

The two Congress leaders are lowering the image of politicians through their mudslinging and slander against each other during the past few days, BJP district in-charge S.V. Surya Prakash Reddy said in a statement on Friday.

Referring to the statements of Mr. Subbarami Reddy that he had not only secured the party ticket for Ms. Purandeswari but also rendered financial assistance to her, the BJP leader said that Ms. Purandeswari’s husband and Congress MLA Daggubati Venkateswara Rao had alleged that TSR had indulged in cement scams and other scandals in the past.

Mr. Surya Prakash Reddy demanded that the IT Department should respond immediately.
