Anakapalle MP Muttamsetti Srinivasa Rao’s efforts to get a new railway line between Tuni and Kottavalasa junction via Narsipatnam, Chodavaram and Madugula have yielded fruit with the Railway Minister making a provision for Rs.16.82 crore in the budget for preparing a Detailed Project Report (DPR) on the new line.

Rail connectivity

Mr. Srinivasa Rao had written to Mr. Suresh Prabhu on January 21 this year seeking the new line as it would provide rail connectivity to the hitherto unconnected and remote villages, which fall under his Parliamentary constituency. It would also foster development of the remote areas.
