Social Welfare Minister Pilli Subhash Chandrabose on Wednesday announced that health check-ups would be conducted for students staying in welfare hostels across the State from November 14.

Inaugurating the first of its kind blood grouping and haemoglobin tests camp organised for the students of social welfare in the district here, Mr. Chandrabose said that the health camps would help the parents of the students and the hostel wardens keep a check on the health of the students, so that the required care could be taken.

Stating that the government was taking good care of the students, he advised the students to make better use of the opportunities and score good marks in the examinations. District Collector M. Ravi Chandra, Zilla Parishad Chairman Ch.S. Gopalakrishna and others were present.
