India Post has received 5,500 orders in the city for delivery of holy water of the Krishna River during the auspicious pushkarams, according to Senior Superintendent of Post Offices (Visakhapatnam Division) K.V.L.N. Murthy. Orders for delivery of the holy water will be accepted only till Saturday.
The holy water, to be delivered in 500 ml bottles, would be priced at Rs.30. The delivery of holy water bottles would begin on August 13 and continue till August 25. Devotees can order their requirement at any Post Office and obtain a receipt for the same. They can also book their orders online.
Mr. Murthy said 8,400 bookings were done from Visakhapatnam city.
