AU introducesbridge course

Andhra University has introduced bridge course for the students joining the first year of undergraduate courses, to provide them good foundation on the subjects they will be learning during the course.

Vice-Chancellor G.S.N. Raju said this during the Academic Calendar Committee meeting on Tuesday. Classes for the first year undergraduate students would commence on July 1 and the bridge course for them would be held for one week from that date. Classes for the second and third year undergraduate students would commence on June 16.

Academic calendar

According to the academic calendar, Dasara vacation will be from October 1 to 5 and remedial classes will be held from December 16 to 23 and Sankranti vacation will be from January 10 to 18, 2015. Remedial classes will be conducted again during the last week of February to help them clear their doubts.

The last day of instruction is February 28 and the annual examinations will be held during March-April and April 30 will be the last working day. Registrar K. Rama Mohana Rao, principals of campus colleges, Deans, Controller of Examinations and other officers were present.
