APPCB competitions for children on June 2

The AP Pollution Control Board (AP PCB) will conduct competitions for schoolchildren, in connection with the World Environment Day celebrations, at the Central Library at Dwarakanagar on June 2. The theme for this year’s World Environment Day is “Fight against illegal trade in wildlife”. There will be competitions on painting, essay writing and elocution (Telugu and English) and single/group singing, according to the Joint Chief Environmental Engineer B. Madhusudhana Rao.

Drawing sheets and white papers for the competitions will be provided by the APPCB Zonal Office. Participants should bring painting materials like crayons for the events. Registrations will commence at the venue from 8.30 a.m. on that day. There will be three prizes in each category and they would be distributed to the winners at the main function to be held on the World Environment Day celebrations at Dr. YVS Murthy Auditorium in Andhra University on June 5.
