RINL to spend more on CSR activities

K. Haribabu, MP, on Friday praised RINL for its CSR initiatives and exhorted the management to give further impetus to development of skills, infrastructure in schools and healthcare facilities in the periphery.

He made the observation while inaugurating ‘Vizag Steel-Ukku Kalavedika,’ a multi-purpose community hall, built at a cost of Rs.1.50 crore under CSR programme in Nadupuru Rehabilitation Colony. Mr. Haribabu said that Vizag Steel products would be used for the Polavaram project.

Chairman-cum-Managing Director P. Madhusudan said that RINL, right from the beginning, had been undertaking several community welfare initiatives under the CSR.

He said that RINL would spend more on CSR activities in future to enhance the quality of life in its peripheral/rehabilitation colonies.

He said that the multi-purpose hall would serve the residents of rehabilitation colony and its surrounding villages for conducting social events,functions as well as skill development programmes.

Gajuwaka MLA Palla Srinivasa Rao underlined the importance of improving infrastructure in schools and urged the RINL to take up more projects under the CSR initiative in the Gajuwaka constituency.

Earlier, DGM (CSR) G. Gandhi gave details of the CSR activities undertaken by RINL.

RINL Director (personnel) G.B.S. Prasad, Director (commercial) P. Raychaudhury, and Executive Director (corporate services) R.P. Srivatsava were present.
