Vignan gets FIST project

The Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, has sanctioned the Fund for Improvement of Science and Technology Infrastructure (FIST) project to Vignan University.

A project group comprising team members from Mechanical Engineering Department -- Vidhu Kampurath P. K. Venkata Rao, M. Balaji and K. Durga Rao -- will collaborate in research in the area of vibration measurement and condition monitoring. During the five year term, the university will be able to procure the complete research set up in vibration and noise analysis with 16 channel data taker, FFT analyser, accelerometers and noise measurement kit with pre-amplifier and calibrators.
