Tobacco Board officials along with traders have participated in the ‘World Tobacco Europe 2013,’ fair organised by M/s. Quartz Business Media in association with Tobacco Journal International in Hamburg, Germany, recently.
Chairman of the board, K. Gopal along with auction superintendent R. Subba Rao represented the country at the fair.
Stall at fair
The Tobacco Board has put a stall and displayed the exhibits of various styles of tobacco leaf samples of Flue Cured Virginia & Non-FCV tobaccos varieties produced in the country.
The board also displayed posters mentioning its activities, regulatory policies, extension, auction services and information on export of Indian tobacco and tobacco products.
Product brochures on Indian tobacco containing the details of the various tobaccos grown in India depicting their photographs, the physical and chemical characteristics were also displayed.
Business directories containing the address of Indian exporters and manufacturers of un-manufactured tobaccos, cigarettes and other products along with their turnover particulars were also made available to the visitors and distributed to the intended guests at the stall.
Traders included Khurana, GTC, B. Srinivas, BBM Group, T. Murali Mohan, Ethnic Tobaccos, M. Umamaheswara Rao, Mittapalli Group of Companies, Y. Chowdary, Yarrlagadda Exports, Surya Prakash, Chaitanya Tobacco and K. Ramakrishna, KR&Co.
