Dalit associations on Tuesday reacted strongly to the AP High Court judgment acquitting all the 21 accused in Tsunduru massacre case and demanded that the State government file an appeal in the Supreme Court.

Dalit Bahujan Front convener Melam Bhagya Rao said at a press conference here that the judgement would have far reaching consequences.

Such judgments would only embolden people to commit atrocities against Dalits in different parts of the State, he said.

Dalit Stree Shakti convener Gadden Jhansi said the judgment was a huge disappointment and said that DSS would launch an agitation against the verdict.
