The TDP has alleged that the Congress, the YSR Congress, and the TRS are conspiring to divide the State. The resolution in Assembly could be defeated only if the Seemandhra MLAs do not resign to their posts.

Addressing a press conference here on Sunday, Mylavaram MLA and TDP district president Devineni Umamhaeswara Rao alleged that AICC president Sonia Gandhi, YSRC president Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy, and TRS chief K. Chandrasekhara Rao formed as a cartel with a “common minimum programme” of dividing the State.

As the State Assembly was a hurdle in the creation of Telangana, they hatched a plan to impose President’s rule in the State.

The Samaikyandhra protagonists exposed the “evil designs” of Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy to reduce the Seemandhra MLAs’ strength in the Assembly. Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy had planned to convince some of the Congress MLAs to tender their resignations so that their strength would come down, he alleged.

As its first plan went for a toss, the Congress asked its Ministers to tender their resignations and create a constitutional crisis in the State, which can lead to imposition of President’s rule, he alleged. Meanwhile, TDP State secretary Gottipati Ramakrishna Prasad asked AICC vice-president Rahul Gandhi to be aware of the affairs in the State.

TNTUC city president Boyina Subrahmanyam said the TNTUC would organise relay hunger strike on October 2, 4, and 7 at Patamata, near Milk Factory, near Sub Collector’s office respectively, covering all the three constituencies in the city in support of Samaikyandhra.
