The district Road Transport Authority is going to organise a large-scale driving licence mela on June 3 for the eligible candidates aspiring to have learner’s licence.

Addressing the media here on Monday, Deputy Transport Commissioner E. Meera Prasad said that the Transport Authority in association with Sreedhar’s CCE is going to conduct the mela.

“We are expecting a turn out of about ten thousand aspirants from across the district. The test will be held in computer centres of Sreedhar’s CCE in Suryarao Pet,” he said. The mela is aimed at helping aspirants get learner’s licence without falling into the trap of middlemen who charge exorbitantly for booking slots.

The candidates can take the help of Mee Seva, Common Services Centre and Sreedhar’s CEE centre for booking slot, he said. Mr. Prasad said that the 10-minute test will be conducted from 9 am to 7.30 pm on Sunday and applicants should visit the test centre according to their mandal.
