The two-day meet of the Economic Development Board (EDB) of Andhra Pradesh organised in association with the CII culminated on Tuesday in an interactive session with a 70-member delegation from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO).

Led by the Japanese Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Yosuke Takagi, the delegates explored opportunities for collaboration between Andhra Pradesh and Japan. The EDB was formed following Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s call for constitution of a body which could serve as a single-point contact for investments in the State of Andhra Pradesh.

EDB CEO J. Krishna Kishore said with an impressive growth of 10.5 per cent in 2016, Andhra Pradesh State aimed to become the most developed State in India by 2029.
