The Joint Action Committee (JAC) of the Employees, Teachers, Workers and Pensioners (Krishna-West Godavari) has hailed the appointment of former Chief Secretary, P.K.Agarwal, as chairman of the 10 Pay Revision Commission (PRC).
JAC chairman A.Vidya Sagar, addressing a press conference here on Thursday, said that the State Government had initiated the process of Pay Revision ahead of schedule for the first time in the history of the State.
Secretary Md.Iqbal and other leaders said that state Government appointing the PRC chairman and promising to give health cards to the state Government employees were laudable.
He said the State Government responded favourably to the lunch-hour demonstrations, dharnas, relay fasts and finally the proposal to submit notice for launching of an indefinite strike and made the announcements.
He said that the Krishna-West Godavari JAC had emerged a winner in the struggle for the PRC. State Library Employees Association state president Kallepalli Madhusudhana Raju, Krishna-West Godavari JAC treasurer A.Sambasiva Rao, and Andhra Pradesh Class Four Employees Association State general secretaryP.Srinivas participated.
