HC Bench only after T-issue is sorted out, says Yerasu

‘Courts in the State will soon go hi-tech'

July 17, 2011 02:11 pm | Updated 02:11 pm IST - VIJAYAWADA:

State Law Minister Yerasu Prathap Reddy on Saturday said the demand for a High Court Bench in this region by advocates of coastal districts was a fair one.

“But, before that, a solution to the ‘Telangana' tangle must be found,” he said addressing a meeting organised in the city by the Bezwada Bar Association (BBA).

The Minister said as part of the efforts to establish international standards in courts of law, the courts across the State would soon go hi-tech. Every court would have a computerised documentation and advocates would be conveyed about their next adjournment dates through SMS.

Dual purpose

To serve the dual purpose of speedy disposal of cases and to generate employment, plans were afoot to set up courts in mandal and village-level also.
