The sprawling campus of Maris Stella College came alive on Saturday with students putting up a gala show as part of the annual fete. A slew of fun and entertaining activities organised through the past week culminated in the carnival which saw students organising fun games, stalls offering delicious food stuff and loads of entertainment for visitors.
Competitions were organised to encourage girls from different streams to prove their mettle as an all-rounder. A good number of them entered the fray to bag titles of ‘Miss Maris Stella’, ‘Super Model’ and ‘Telugu Ammayi’.
Vandana Jain of degree final year (Commerce) was declared “Miss Maris Stella’ amid thumping applauds.
Earlier on Friday, the faculty members participated in ‘Mrs. Maris Stella’ contest that drew lusty cheers from the students. The fete is a fund-raising event and the proceeds that are earned through this medium are judiciously allocated for charity purposes.
