CM makes surprise visit to pushkar ghats

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday ordered the officials concerned to come up with plans to make Durga Ghat centre stage for ‘Inland Water Way’ project which will come up in future.

Mr. Naidu made a surprise visit to Durgh Ghat which is being renovated on a grand scale for Krishna Pushakaralu.

He inspected the ghat works under way at the Model Guest house and inquired officials about the progress. He asked them to ensure that secure partition is built between Durga Ghat and Kankadurga Flyover which is under construction. He further asked officials to set up tourist points between Durga Ghat, Seetanagaram, and Prakasam Barrage.

Mr. Naidu also took stock of works at Krishnaveni Ghat and was told by district Collector Babu A. that a 1.2 kilometre long ghat will be developed.

Ministers D. Umamaheswara Rao, P. Narayana, CRDA commissioner N. Srikant, VMC Commissioner G. Veerapandian, MLA Sk. Jaleel Khan, Mayor K. Sreedhar and others were present.
