Aspiring IPS officer excels

A student of civil services prelims coaching course offered by Siddhartha Study Circle D. Dhanurbha, has won laurels for her achievement in several top competitions. She got Rs.10,000 as a cash award by standing first in the elocution competition held as part of the recent Vande Gandheeyam.

“My dream is to succeed in UPSC and become an IPS officer,” said Ms. Dhanurbha, whose inspiration to become a civil servant comes from her father who is serving in the electrical wing as chief supervising officer in the Government General Hospital. She is taking weekend classes in current affairs, general studies and other subjects which are vital for passing the UPSC prelims exam. She also won first prize in junior essay writing competition held by the Competition Success Review and also in essay writing contest organised by the SFI at the State level.

They had developed a library of books and magazines for competitive exams spending Rs. 2.5 lakh.
