With the onset of summer, it is taxing days for traffic police personnel managing vehicular movements under sweltering heat at busy intersections.
To help traffic policemen beat the heat and help them chill out for few moments before discharging their duty again, lemon juice, and buttermilk would be supplied to the men in uniform during this summer.
The exercise of supplying juice and buttermilk to policemen as per government order was launched in both districts on Tuesday.
Commissioner of Police Sanjay Mathur inaugurated it by supplying lemon juice to traffic policemen at TVS Toll Gate junction here.
A police release here said lemon juice would be supplied to traffic police till the end of the summer season.
