Tiruchi police seize 600 pirated CDs

The CDs contained the latest Tamil films, including Kutti Puli

Fort police seized 600 pirated compact discs containing the latest Tamil films, including Kutti Puli , at Teppakulam here on Friday.

Two arrested

Two persons – R. Balachandran (23) and I. Shahul Hameed (24) — were arrested on the charge of selling the pirated CDs.

They were selling pirated CDs in front of two shops at Teppakulam when the police arrested them, sources said.

They were later sent for remand.

Fort police have registered separate cases against them.

A few days ago, Fort police had seized 4,000 pirated CDs and a computer in their jurisdiction, and arrested six persons.
