Tiruchi ABVP demands total prohibition

Members of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), Tiruchi observed fast here on Thursday demanding implementation of total prohibition in Tamil Nadu. The fasting members including a good number of women carried placards driving home the ill-effects of alcohol and liquor being the cause for most number of crimes.

The day-long fast observed at Chinthamani was headed by the ABVP divisional coordinator Palanikumar.

The organisation’s district president Ravichandran, members of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Rashtriyaswayam Sevak Sangh and Bharatiya Kisan Sangh took part in the fast.
