A goods carrier overturned on the Chennai bypass road near Senthaneerpuram following a tyre burst on Sunday. The driver of the vehicle escaped without injury. The accident, however, led to traffic hold-up on the national highway for sometime.

The vehicle was carrying tea to Tiruchi from a southern district. Police personnel rushed to the spot and the vehicle was removed from the spot with the help of a crane, police sources said.
