Jennitha Anto had won the women’s title at the 17th IPCA

Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami on Wednesday felicitated K. Jennitha Anto, a differently abled international chess player from Tiruchi, who won the women’s title in the 17th IPCA (International Physically disabled Chess Association) world individual chess championship held at Slovakia.

Ms. Anto, a Woman International Master (WIM) title holder, won gold medal for the fifth successive year in the championship. She also bagged a silver medal in the Asian chess championship for differently abled persons held last month.

Mr. Palaniswami, who was on a brief visit to Tiruchi en route to Chennai from Karur, met Ms. Anto at the Circuit House in the city and congratulated her.

Vellamandi N.Natarajan, Minister for Tourism, M. R.Vijayabhaskar, Minister for Transport, P. Kumar, MP, and K. Rajamani, Collector, were present.
